About Us

Welcome to the Center for the Cure of Souls.  We provide Soul Care in the Ancient Tradition and seek to bring that ministry and authentic spiritual formation to the church.

A soul is a delicate and wonderful thing. Each one of us does not merely have a soul, we are souls. In fact we are one psychosomatic whole – spirit, intellect and body. Each of these in their interconnected and dynamic energy together constitutes the soul. The Cure of Souls is the ministry of tending the soul to health in Christ and bringing us into His image.

The practice of Soul Care took many forms in the past, it was an integrated discipline. Our ministry also integrates all of the historic aspects of Christian soul care: Spiritual Direction, Pastoral Counseling, Inner healing, Prayer, Spiritual Interventions, Instruction, and the Sacraments.

We offer two paths based on need.  The first is regular spiritual direction.  It is for any Christian or sincere seeker who wants to know God more deeply, integrate their faith into their life more clearly, deepen prayer and their relationship with God and overcome barriers to growth.

The second path is Integrated Christian Counseling.  This path integrates biblical, charismatic* and patristic* Christian therapeutic principles proven over centuries to be effective.  It is helpful for people who are struggling with life-controlling behaviors, addictions, and emotional and spiritual problems.

We also are available for seminars, workshops and conferences on Soul Care, Orthodox Psychotherapy and Spiritual Formation.

Please look at the other pages on the site and contact us to set up a free interview if you are considering entering a journey of healing with us.

Patristic* – Of the Church Fathers of the early church and the desert fathers (monks) of the 4th through 14th centuries whose spiritual tradition is recorded in the Philokalia.

Charismatic* – Specifically the concepts but not necessarily all the practices associated with Inner Healing paradigms as found in the Charismatic tradition.
